What is a plus portal?

A Plus Portal is a Media Portal that has a number of additional benefits and possibilities compared to a standard portal, specifically:

• More templates to choose from

• Possibility to use your own domain name for the Media Portal

• Possibility of having your own fonts in the Media Portal

• Ability to display custom fields in the Media Portal

• Possibility to use advanced search in the Media Portal
  
  

Under the "Portals" tab in Mediaflow, you can see all your Media Portals, including whether any are Plus Portals.

More portal templates

The Media Portals are based on different templates, and you can choose the template that best suits the purpose of your Media Portal. In the editing mode, you customise the look to fit your brand and graphic profile. For those of you with a Plus Portal, you can also choose from the templates below:

Template 3

Large: 1350 px (ca. 15:9)
Mediuam: 800 px (ca. 15:9)
Small: 450x570 px (5:6)

Large: 16:9
Small: 3:2

The template adapts to the uploaded image size. Exemple of proportions:

Large: 3:2
Small: 1:1

Customised domain name

Do you want a customised domain name?

Contact our support team, and they will connect you with one of our specialists. You will need to provide us with a TLS certificate with a private key.

Customised fonts

In the Media Portal editing mode, there are a number of different fonts to choose from (Open Sans, Arial, Roboto Slob, Verdana and Georgia). When you have a Plus Portal, you can choose to use your own fonts instead.

Contact our support, and they will connect you with one of our specialists. The fonts must be of a variety that is available for free use and possible to send to us for implementation.

Show custom metadata fields in your Plus Portal

Using customised metadata fields is a convenient way to find your files more easily and share important information about them. When you have a Plus Portal, you can also choose to display your own customised metadata fields in your Media Portal.

1. When creating a custom metadata field under Settings (cogwheel), select which Media Portal(s) the field should be visible in. This will make the field light up as "Available metadata fields" in the Media Portal settings.

2. Go to the Portals tab and Settings for the current Plus Portal. Under the metadata fields tab, drag the custom fields to "Visible metadata fields".

3. Your Media Portal now shows the custom metadata fields for files where they have been filled out.

    

   

Switch on advanced search in your Plus Portal

In Mediaflow, there is a powerful advanced search where you can easily apply filters to narrow down your search results. When you have a Plus Portal, you can also switch on the advanced search in your Media Portal. From here, it is possible, among other things, to filter on certain file types, a specific photographer, as well as your own metadata fields.

1. Go to the portals tab and Settings for the current Plus Portal, tick "Use advanced search".

2. The advanced search is now available in the form of a filter icon next to the search box.
