Clicking on Portals in the sidebar allows you to see an overview of your Media Portals.
To edit the visual design of a Media Portal, click on Edit for the respective portal. The portal opens in a new tab in your browser. When editing a Media Portal, a side panel offers several options for customising the theme to fit your brand.
Side panel - General settings
In the side panel, you select your preferred ready-made portal template (appearance) and font.
Portal templates
Media Portals are based on different templates (appearances) that are used as a starting point. Select the one that best suits your Media Portal's purpose.
Template 1a - A customisable template where the main content in the centre column is made up of images/banners linked to specific folder categories or keywords.
Template 1b - A low-maintenance template where the main content of the centre column is based on an image wall that automatically displays images from any chosen folder.
Template 2 - A streamlined template that encourages visitors to search for the content. The folder tree is located in a menu that is easily found under the search box.
With a Plus Portal, you'll have more templates to choose from.
With a Play Portal, you'll have other templates customised for video to choose from.

Edit texts
Regardless of the template, all texts in the Media Portals are editable. In the edit mode, simply click directly on the chosen text, such as the name, and change it. A toolbar for text formatting will pop up.
Edit banners
There are three options for customising the images/banners in the portal templates. Uploading the respective image from your computer or from a folder in Mediaflow. Clicking on the link icon lets you link the image to a specific folder in the Media Portal or to keywords.
When you upload an image to one of the placeholders for images/banners, it opens a cropping tool where you can change the proportions of the image. If you have a specific image in Photoshop, for example, you can see the dimensions below. Read more here if you have a Plus Portal.
Dimensions for image proportions in the different portal templates
Template 1a
Large: 1350 px (ca. 15:9)
Medium: 800 px (ca. 15:9)
Small: 450x570 px (5:6)
Template 2
Background: 16:9
Edit modal links
If you wish, you can also have links in your Media Portal, either to a web page or to a lightbox. Click on the pencil icon to manage links. There are currently two help texts: "Help" and "How to search." You can leave these unaltered, edit them, or remove them. If you want to add an external link, select that option and fill in the entire link address.
Side panel - Page header
In the Side panel, under Header, you set up everything for the header: the logo, colour, separator lines, etc.
Side panel - Buttons
Apply settings for everything that affects the appearance of the buttons and how they look when you hover the mouse over them.
Side panel - Login page
If you add password protection under the settings for the Media Portal, an additional tab, "Login page," will appear in the side panel. This tab allows you to edit the login page. You can then set different texts, change logos, etc.
The preview mode
By changing the preview mode, you can see how your portal will look on a mobile phone or tablet, for example.
Save and publish the changes
As soon as you make a change to your portal, the buttons at the bottom will light up to show that a newer version of the portal is available. You can then choose to save what you have done or restore it to how it looked when you first opened the portal. You can also publish your work here, but you must first click on the Save button.
Language versions
If necessary, you can have different language versions of your Media Portal. The user can choose between them from a drop-down list.
Do you want a different language or multiple language versions in your Media Portal?
Please contact your administrator or our support team for further assistance.
Set the default language. It is important to note that the different language versions in the editor are separate versions. This allows you to have not only different text but also images and links, in different language versions. Remember to save your changes when you switch between the different language versions!
