What is a Media Portal?
With a Media Portal, you can make selected files in Mediaflow available to different audiences. For example, you can create an internal Branded Portal on your intranet or a Media Bank for the press that journalists can access from your website.
A Media Portal is a dedicated web page accessed via a unique link, such as https://company.mediaflowportal.com. This way, your visitors won’t need to log in to Mediaflow itself. The interface in a Media Portal has the same smart functions as in Mediaflow but is presented in a sleeker format, helping the visitor navigate it and find and download files.
Get started with your Media Portal
Setting up your Media Portal does not have to take very long. All you need to do is customise the portal's visual design, set the settings that will apply to it, and publish the folders of files that you want to make available.
1. Editing the visual design
The Media Portals are based on ready-made templates and have also been adapted for mobile devices. In edit mode, you can customise the visual design to match your brand and graphic profile.
2. Settings for your Media Portal
Under the Media Portal settings, you choose what settings should apply to your Media Portal, how the files may be handled, what metadata should be visible and how visitors access the Media Portal.
3. Publish files in a Media Portal
Finally, choose which folders (categories) of files you want to display in your Media Portal.
