If you broadcast council meetings or other meetings with CyberCaster, you can show the CyberCaster player, with agenda, speakers and votes, directly on the broadcast’s page in your Play Portal. Viewers use the same address before, during and after the meeting. The broadcast is published to the portal as usual; the connection only changes what the broadcast’s own page shows.
How to switch the connection on
The connection is a module on your Mediaflow account that you cannot enable yourselves. Contact your account manager and ask for meeting integration to be enabled. Once it is on, the Meeting integration tab appears in the settings of every live broadcast.
How to connect a broadcast
- Create or open the live broadcast under Live in Mediaflow.
- Go to the Meeting integration tab.
- Switch on Enable meeting integration.
- Choose CyberCaster in the Meeting system list. The code field appears once a system is chosen.
- Paste the embed code into the CyberCaster embed code field.
- Save. The field is checked when you save, and an error is shown in the field itself.
What to paste
Paste the embed code you find in CyberCaster. It looks like this:

You can also paste the player link directly:

Whatever you paste, only the player link is saved.
The following is not accepted:
- An iframe code.
- A link to CyberCaster’s public page or any other web page.
- A link starting with http:// instead of https://.
- A link to any server other than player.cybercaster.se.
What viewers see
On the broadcast’s page in the portal, the CyberCaster player replaces the standard player, with the agenda next to the video. The player decides its own height: on wide screens the agenda sits beside the video, on narrow screens below it. Playback, fullscreen and sharing work.
After the meeting
The broadcast’s page keeps showing the CyberCaster player when the meeting is over. The recording can be watched there if the meeting is set to on-demand on the CyberCaster side. The recording saved as a video in Mediaflow is an ordinary video without the agenda. If the broadcast is set to be removed when finished, the page goes away.
If something does not work
- The Meeting integration tab is missing: the module is not enabled on your account. Contact your account manager.
- The field does not appear: choose a meeting system in the list first.
- An error when saving: read the error in the field and compare with the list above. The most common cause is a page link or an iframe code pasted instead of the embed code.
- The standard player shows in the portal: check that meeting integration is switched on for that broadcast and that the broadcast is saved.
