Mediaflow has a search-based interface that combines navigation, search results, and commands in a single window. Instead of remembering where something is, you only need to know the name of a function or describe what you’re looking for.
With a keyboard shortcut, Command + K on Mac or Ctrl + K on PC, you open a command panel (Command Palette) no matter where you are in Mediaflow. From there you can navigate to different features, settings, portals, folders, and search for files.
Note
You use the same language in the command panel as the one selected for your user profile. If you have Mediaflow set to English, you must use English phrases and wording when navigating and searching.
With the command panel you can:
- search for files
- invite a new user
- add a new download presets
- check license information in a specific folder
- search for people in your people register
- show all files featuring a specific person
- search for content within documents
You can also use the command panel as an exploratory tool. For example, you can type “user”, “group” or “preset” and you’ll get suggestions of possible actions based on your permissions and where you are in the system.
When you open the command panel, the interface adapts to where you are. If you’re in a folder, you’ll get folder-specific command suggestions, such as sharing the folder or searching within it. If you’ve selected a file, you can share, download, or choose a specific download preset for that file.
