This month introduces a new plugin for InDesign that includes several long-awaited features and a variety of enhancements in the media bank.
New InDesign Plugin
Our InDesign plugin, available to all pro users, has received a significant upgrade, both visually and in terms of functionality. Here are some of the new features:
-
You can now search for AI-generated keyword suggestions within the plugin.

You can now specify Usage Reporting when you assemble a file. The information you provide here will be visible under the Usage tab in Mediaflow.
-
Support for SVG files has been added.
-
Support for Illustrator (.ai) files are now displayed in search results.
-
Mediaflow Connect and Mediaflow Links have been merged into a single panel.
-
File information is now displayed in a sidebar, eliminating the need to right-click on a file to access this information.
-
More precise notifications regarding why a file cannot be used.
-
A new settings view that shows various options for file assembly.
To access the new features, you will need to reinstall the plugin. You can install the add-on via the Creative Cloud plugin management system. Sort by InDesign plugins and search for "Mediaflow."
Media Bank
New Folder Menu in the Right Panel
There is now a new folder menu in the right panel when you select a file. Clicking on the three dots next to the folder will reveal the options “View Folder,” “View File in Folder,” and “Remove File from Folder.” These shortcuts are useful if the selected file exists in multiple folders.
Searchable File ID and Mediaflow ID
You can now search for File ID and Mediaflow ID in the quick search field. This applies within the media bank, in our pre-built integrations, and in other custom integrations that use the Mediaflow API for searching.
Web shares
-
Information about the photographer is now displayed when you create a web share from a portal.
-
There is no longer a limit on the number of files you can download simultaneously via a web share.
Additional Updates

When cropping a thumbnail image for a video in Video Manager, the entire image is now automatically selected.

-
Resolved an issue that caused folders to sometimes not sort correctly upon initial loading.
-
Fixed responsive issues with audio files in the right panel.
-
Addressed a problem that prevented users from removing folders from favourites.
