Smoother subtitling with audio track waveforms, improved version management for video, and AI search in Media Portals. We are starting the new year with a series of exciting and much-anticipated updates in Mediaflow.
Media Bank
New Share button
A new share button has been added to the file view. Clicking the button will allow you to choose between the options Create Web Share, New message, and Print. If you select a video, you will also see the options Embed Code and Copy Video URL. You can also find these options when right-clicking on a file and selecting Share.
Drag & drop folders in folder tree
You can now drag and drop folders within the folder tree in Mediaflow. When a folder is dropped onto another folder, you will be prompted with options for copying and moving, along with a summary about how many files and subfolders that are about to be moved or copied.
Also::
-
There is now a "Collapse all folders" button for each section in the folder tree
-
The Design Templates folder now has its own icon
Download transcoded versions of videos
You can now download a video file in several different versions from Mediaflow. In the right-click menu, you can choose between downloading a video in the original version, 720p or 1080p.
Improved version management for video
You can now update video files with a new version without changing the embed code. Existing embed codes for videos will always show the active version if the file has multiple versions. This can be used, for example, to update a video that has already been published.
Video Manager
New import function in Video Manager
To make it easier to replace a video with a new version, you can now choose to first import all tracks (subtitles, languages, chapters, etc.) from one video to another. Please note that this must be done before the files are merged, as you cannot import tracks from an inactive version. Under the Settings tab in Video Manager, you can select which video you want to import tracks from.
Audio track Waveforms
When editing your subtitles in Video Manager, you will see your video's audio as a waveform, making it easier to work with and match your subtitles.
New embed code dialogue
The embed code dialogue for videos and playlists has been updated to make it easier to navigate between the different options.
-
The dialogue is organised into three tabs: General, Appearance and Advanced.
-
You can see a preview of your embedded video.
-
It’s easier to set a start time for the video by using a scope button that can be found under the Advanced tab.
GDPR
New shortcuts for expiring consents
New GDPR shortcuts can now be found in the media bank. These shortcuts will show files that have consents that are about to expire.
Media Portals
AI assisted search in a Media Portal
AI assisted search can now be enabled in a Media Portal. This allows AI suggestions for keywords to be searchable in a portal without being added to files in Mediaflow. You can enable this feature under the portal settings. Note that AI search is toggled on/off by an admin in the portal settings rather than by each visitor. The AI keywords are not exposed to the visitor in a media portal.
Integrations
A new version of Mediaflow's File Selector, available in all our integrations and plugins, has been released. This update includes:
-
Faster loading of images
-
Grid background for transparent images
-
Larger preview images
-
The cropping tool now works the same way as in Mediaflow and fills the entire image instead of 80 percent of the image as before.
