With Video Manager, you can add subtitles, language versions, and audio description or sign language interpretation to your videos. You can easily open the relevant video in Video Manager, directly from Mediaflow.
You can open a video file in Video Manager in two ways:
-
Right-click on a video and select Open in Video Manager.
-
Click Use file in the right-hand panel and select Open in Video Manager.
This will direct you to the Video Manager, where you can manage subtitles, language versions, and tracks for audio description and sign language interpretation. You can also change your film's thumbnail here.
Manage tracks
Under the Tracks tab, you can add and edit your different tracks. You can choose to sort by type of track or by language. To make a track visible to viewers, switch it on with the toggle. Clicking on the three dots lets you manage each track and make changes. You will see different choices depending on whether it is a text track, an audio track, or a video track.
Chapters
Under the Chapters tab, you can divide your video into different chapters. This is particularly useful for longer films where you want to direct viewers to a specific section of the film. If you choose to display chapters in the video player, an icon will light up listing your chapters, giving the viewer the option to skip between different chapters.
Settings
Under the Settings tab, you can change the thumbnail for your film. You can select a frame from the film or upload an image from a folder in Mediaflow or from your computer. You can also download the current thumbnail as a jpg file. Additionally, you can change the original language of your film and turn the transcription icon in the video player on or off.
Keyboard shortcuts
If you click on the question mark at the top of the menu, you will see a list of keyboard shortcuts you can use when working in Video Manager. These adapt to whether you have a PC or a Mac.
