In a Brand Portal, you populate the pages with content based on the needs that your Brand Portal is intended to fulfil. You present your guidelines and brand assets in an inspiring and clear manner, ensuring that everyone has access to relevant and up-to-date material.
Under the Portal tab in the sidebar of Mediaflow, you will see an overview of all your portals. To access the admin mode for the portal, click on Edit for the respective portal.
The portal admin mode opens in a new tab in your browser. In its default state, the portal contains placeholders and page suggestions for how a Brand Portal might look.
Pages
Under Pages, you manage pages and subpages for your portal and create content. You can add or remove pages and manage their order in the left panel. The number of pages you can publish in your portal depends on your agreement. You can create more pages than your agreement specifies, but you cannot publish them. Pages that are drafts or unpublished
are clearly marked in the list of your pages.
Page Types
When you create a new page, you can choose a template for the type of page you want:
-
Standard page without navigation
-
Page with navigation links on the left
If you choose a page with sidebar navigation, subpages at the same level and anchor links will appear in the menu on the left of the page. We recommend that you apply the same settings for subpages at the same level.
If you choose to create a page with sidebar navigation, you can add blocks that cover the entire page both above and below the navigation.
Special Pages
Homepage
The Home page is a special page that cannot be moved or deleted. Likewise the page cannot have navigation in the left menu.
Hide the homepage in the menu
It is possible to hide the page in the navigation menu. It still functions well as the landing page for your portal, and visitors can click on your logo in the header to return to the homepage.
Search Page
The search page is a special page whose content cannot be edited. However, you can make settings for it just like with other pages.
Edit Page Content
Under Pages > Content, you will find the editing mode for the current page where you can add various blocks, edit them, move, copy, and delete them. You can also choose to preview the page in mobile mode or fullscreen mode.
To add a block to your page, click on the plus sign, and you will see all the options available. You select blocks based on the type of content you wish to publish.
Each block has three tabs: Content, Design, and Settings. Under the Content tab, you add content to your block. You can customise headings and text. You can also add an image and link buttons. The options available for your text are determined by the settings you make for fonts and typography when designing your Brand Portal.
Under the Design tab, you control the appearance of your content. You may have different options here depending on the type of block you have chosen. For example, you can change the background colour of your block and adjust the appearance of the text. If you have chosen a block where you can insert images, you can select the size of the image. The options available here are determined by the settings you make when designing your Brand Portal.
Under the Settings tab, you can give your block a title. The title will also become an anchor link to your block, which will be visible on a page with sidebar navigation.
Publish Files for Download
Brand Portals are built on Mediaflow's DAM, which means you can quickly and easily publish materials in your portal, thanks to access to your folder structure with files in Mediaflow. For files to be downloadable from your portal, you must select the Files block. You first need to allow which folders will be available for publishing in the block in Mediaflow.
Click on the plus sign and select the Files block. Under the Content tab, you choose which folder you want to link to the block. All files in the folder you select will then be downloadable in your portal.
Under the Design tab for your block, you can then choose how the thumbnail images will be displayed in the portal. Here, you can choose between Grid, Small Grid, List, or Image Wall.
Visitors can then click on each file for download.

Design Templates in Your Brand Portal
Design templates are smart and useful layout solutions tailored to your company's visual identity and brand. A Brand Portal is an excellent space for making these templates available as a means to maintain consistency in your brand. Here you can see two ways to publish your design templates. You can either choose to publish multiple design templates at once using the Files block. Alternatively, you can choose to highlight one design template at a time using the Text & Image block.
Page Settings
Under the Page Settings tab, you will find settings for the current page. You can set the name in the browser window tab, the description for the page in search engines, and the image (Open Graph image) that will be displayed when the page is shared on social media. You can also control the visibility of the page in the navigation and in search engines.
