With the Canva integration, you can fetch images and videos from Mediaflow directly into your Canva designs. This gives everyone creating material easy access to GDPR-secured files that you have the right to use, without needing to download them to your own computer.
What you can do with the app
Browse and search your shared Mediaflow folders directly in Canva.
Insert images and videos in any download format with one click.
Traceability – every import is registered as a usage in Mediaflow.
For the files to be selected and used optimally, you need to have prepared the settings for them in Mediaflow first – the desired download formats should be configured and the GDPR status of the files set.
Open the app in your design
Open a design in Canva.
Click on Mediaflow in the left menu. If Mediaflow is not available as a shortcut, you will find it under Apps. The app opens as a panel on the left.
The folders and files in Mediaflow that you have access to will be displayed. You can easily find the files by browsing through the folders.
Of course, you can also search for the file you want to use.
To reduce search results, there is an option to filter by file types.
Insert image in Canva
Select an image from the list or from your search results. A preview will open.
Choose format under Select download format. The formats are your configured download formats in Mediaflow.
Click Import. You will receive a message at the top that the file has been imported into Canva.
The file is now available in the Projects folder and can be dragged into your Canva design.
Insert video in Canva
Select a video from the list or from your search results. A preview will open.
Choose format under Select download format, which in this case means resolution (e.g. 1080p, 720p, 480p).
Click Import. You will receive a message at the top that the file has been imported into Canva.
The file is now available in the Projects folder, under the category Videos, and can be dragged into your Canva design.
Limitations
There may be restrictions on how your files in Mediaflow can be used, which also means that some files simply cannot be inserted into your Canva designs. This may be due to GDPR or licenses associated with the files.
Traceable usage
When a file is imported into Canva, information about its usage is saved. This makes it easy to track where the material is being used.
