The Canva integration allows you to insert images and videos stored in Mediaflow directly into your Canva designs. This is a convenient way for everyone creating material in Canva to always have access to files that are GDPR-compliant and that you have the rights to use – without having to first download files to your computer and upload them manually.
Preparations in Mediaflow
The Canva integration can be used as soon as it has been installed. Once logged in, all the files you have access to will be displayed. Mediaflow users with a Pro account or those covered by an organisation licence have the option to use the Mediaflow app in Canva.
Add the app in Canva
- Open your web browser and go to canva.com.
- Log in with your Canva account or another account linked to Canva, such as your Google or Microsoft account.
- Click on Apps in the left-hand menu.
- Search for Mediaflow and click on the app.
- You will now see an information box about our integration, our Canva app.
- Click on one of the buttons labelled Use in existing design or Use in new design.
- If you choose Use in existing design, the next step will ask you to select which design should open after the app has been added to your account. If you choose Use in new design, you will be given the option to choose from all of Canva’s design templates.
- Once you have made your choice, an existing or a new design will load and the Mediaflow icon will now appear in the menu on the left.
- If the icon does not appear for any reason, you can always find it by clicking on Apps and then Your apps.
Connect the app to Mediaflow
To access your files in Mediaflow, you must log in with your Mediaflow account in Canva. This needs to be done regularly, or if you switch browser or computer when using Canva.
- Click on the Mediaflow icon in the left panel in Canva.
- The text Mediaflow wants to connect your account will appear next to the left panel with a button labelled Connect.
- When you click Connect, a new browser window or tab will open where you can log in to Mediaflow.
- Once the connection is complete, the files you have access to in Mediaflow will be displayed in the panel. At the bottom you will see You are signed in as followed by your name, and a link Visit Mediaflow.
If the connection failsIf the message We could not connect to Mediaflow appears, click Try again. If this does not help, reload the page and log in again.
If it is still not possible to connect Mediaflow with Canva, it may be because your account lacks the correct permission level to link the two platforms.
